Baby-G as Baby-gone?

Remember these babies? These are remnants of my sugar and spice and everything nice childhood — one of the most popular fads of my generation, at least — the Baby-Gs. These are the watches that look like Sailormoon's bracelet and makes you want to go "Tatalunin kita sa ngalan ng buwan!" or like the Power Ranger's gauntlets which makes you want to say "It's Morphin Time!". I do not get the hype this watch used to have. I never had a liking towards it. Back in my elementary days, almost all of the kids were brandishing these chunky, colored watches and it was considered the "cool" thing. They only look like plastic toys with lots of shiny thingamajigs on it that makes you look out-of-this-wordly. Come to think of it, maybe that is why it appealed to kids much before.

But I'm referring to the old designs, the one featured above. With the new designs Baby-G offers, it wouldn't be so bad to be caught with it strapped on my wrist. I'm talking particularly about the Baby-G MS. Not only does the Baby-G MS look more professional, it does so with a tad of zest to boot.
